LOL: So you see the new Riot client that will join your games, all the details
Riot Games recently announced the launch of his new unified client. League of Legends will join the rest of your games on a platform that will allow streamlining the passage from one to another. Thus, we can join all our games in a space similar to Steam, Battle.net or the rest of the available stores. A service that is already active for some players in the test phase and will be launched definitively from next October 4 except unexpected delays.
How is the new Riot Games client?
The first step will be to log in. In our case, a new shortcut was established on our desktop (although we can also look for it in the start menu). From that moment, it will be a matter of using our usual credentials in a generic screen that includes images of all games currently available on it and start navigating. At the moment it is a somewhat simple space, although with a lot of margin for future updates.
In the foreground we will have the games currently installed on our device, so if we get off the additional options appear in the window. Thus, in our case, we could easily carry out the installation of Legends of Runeterra with just a couple of clicks . Exclusive mobiles and other platforms are also shown, although with an icon that signals it and functioning, in practice, only as a news repository.
The most interesting comes when we press on a game, since it will be reproduced a cinematic similar to Las Las Sievés logon screens . We can stop it in case we want and it seems to be thought to be reproduced with audio. However, either by game settings or not to be correctly configured by Riot Games, nor League of Legends nor the rest of the games allowed us to enjoy the sound.
As you can see, there are five featured elements in the game tab:
- Our user data and basic options (settings, close session ...)
- Return to the Game Menu
- Play button and options, for example, of exchanging between servers
- News with the latest updates
- Video Stop Options or Silence Audio
At the moment, the client feels somewhat screened options . Something normal considering that it barely just launched and that we are in a testing phase for the coming weeks. It is expected that both for League of Legends and the rest of Riot Games products the situation is solved along the next
