Pokémon Go: Corona bonuses will start soon - what's next?

Due to the Corona Pandemic, Pokémon Go introduced certain bonuses for the coaches 2020, so that they could also play from home. These will now expire soon. We looked at how it continues in the game and what the community says about the changes.

What is it about? Because of the ongoing Corona pandemic and the associated contact restrictions and starting locks, some coaches from Pokémon Go could no longer play as usual outdoors. Nevertheless, in order to enable these coaches to play, Niantic 2020 introduced some corona bonuses.

This gave coaches, among other things, more gifts through their buddy or more effective, longer-lasting smoke. Now Niantic would like to return more to the origin of the game and want to leak the Corona bonuses.

When should it be so far? In June Pokémon Go officially announced that the Corona bonuses should leak 2021 from the end of July 2021. It starts in New Zealand and the USA. According to today's view in the game, it is so far in Germany on 01. August 2021.

That awaits you after the expiration of the corona bonuses

Although Niantic wants to return to the old games concept and send the coaches more outside again, but has also informed that they do not leave all bonuses (via Pokemongolive.com). Some will be preserved. In addition, new bonuses should be added. We show you which these are.

These bonuses are retired to you:

• 3x star dust and EP at the first catch of the day
• Smoke duration of 60 minutes
• No successful kilometers in the GO KAMPFIGA
• Requirements for fighting against other trainers remain
• Storage of up to 20 gifts in the Item Bag
• Open up to 30 gifts a day

These exploration bonuses are coming:

• Guaranteed gifts when turning pokéstops
• Up to 2 RAID passes a day when turning arenas
• Bonuses when participating in RAIDS on site
• 10-fold EP at first turning a poké stop
• Higher smoke effectiveness when you move
• Bonuses for running steps

According to Niant, there should be more bonuses that they have not explicitly mentioned. In addition, the ex-raids are to come back. The exploration bonuses are also tested in New Zealand and the US. Part of these bonuses should then end with the change of the season as of 1st September but again.

How to read in the social networks, the coaches are not enthusiastic about the upcoming changes. This is primarily due to the rising Corona numbers rising in many countries. But the lack of communication by Niantic is severely criticized by the players.

Thus, Dabomerest writes on Reddit Angry: "In some places in the US, there are more Covid cases than ever before, but Niantic has lost no word about it and not over the petitions to keep the interaction radius of Pokéstops increased." (via reddit.com).

Other players tell you because of the many possibilities to play at home, with Pokémon Go began. The user pm_me_ur_bikini reports in this context of his girlfriend, which is not as mobile because of a disability and started by the corona bonuses (via reddit.com). For them, it will take part in the game after the elimination of some bonuses.

Some coaches, however, remember that it will soon be given a possibility for remote raids by eliminating some bonuses. For example, W1nd0wpane writes to Reddit that he leaves the game when Niantic abolish the remote RAID passes (via reddit.com).
