Final Fantasy 16 deviates from the sci-fi model and returns to fantasy
Final Fantasy 16, the next major addition to solo to the iconic RPG franchise, will bring back his players to his fantastic origin. Over the last two decades, Square Enix has given the game a heavy sci-fi premise. Final Fantasy 16, however, will deviate from this tradition and will be very different from its predecessors.
The science fiction framework of the previous Final Fantasy episodes helped to stabilize the name of the franchise in the players community. The remake of Final Fantasy 7 pushed so much the aesthetic of science fiction and was a huge catalyst for its success. However, FF players were not very satisfied with the modern theme of Final Fantasy 15 and even had the impression that this approach was starting to become obsolete.
This new Final Fantasy 16 update is clearly a giant step compared to what was proposed by its predecessors, but go back to its fantastic atmosphere can not be a bad idea, since half of its name is " fantastic ". This change in its framework in the game should also be a good decision since the market has been a significant success for games that have traditional fantasy archetypes.
It will not be the first time that Square Enix brings out the franchise to its DND aesthetics. Final Fantasy 9 also had a medieval setting and is considered one of the best versions of the game to date. Final Fantasy 16 will present about the same medieval approach, but with a much darker tone.
The new theme of Final Fantasy 16 is not the only thing that also changes. Apparently, the franchise will give priority to British English compared to Japanese voice recording. "This time, the registration in English starts first," confirmed the producer Nooko Yoshida at Washagana TV in an interview. "And we focused on British English. We will soon start the Japanese version.
