AMD: ZEN4 and RDNA3 for 2022, the point on stock breaks
AMD Zen 4 and RDNA 3 architectures that will take the next-generation CPU and GPU bases at AMD respectively, will arrive in 2022. The CEO Lisa Su expressed in these terms: we remain on the right track to launch New generation products in 2022, including our Zen 4 processors built with advanced 5 Nm process technology and our RDNA 3 GPUs.
We can expect a Radeon RX 7000 series with new performance and new MCM design chips (multi-chip module)
Break or no breakup?
In the good news but at the same time not so good, note that AMD stated that supply problems will continue until 2021 and things will diminish early 2022. Which does not clearly mean that the problems will be finished.
It's not beautiful my engraving knot?
CPU side, Lisa su confirms a new move to a new engraving knot namely the 5 nm. We should also see the support of the DDR5 memory and the PCIE 5.0 with the new AM5 socket. In short, 2022 should be a good year as well as GPU and CPU. It remains to see what Intel and Nvidia will foresee to counter all this.
